FTP or file manage of webhosting

by Marsha Daryabeigi » Fri May 29, 2015 9:06 pm

I still have the question of which one to chose a separate FTP or file manager of a webhost. I was told by some webhost companies that they do not support windows 8.1 (or it is not compatible with windows 8.1). What is the next step. I rather choose a free webhosting for now. I was told that if I pay an IP address will be assigned to me so I would have not need to share the IP address and it will solve the problem but I am not really sure about that.

I will suggest using FileZilla for best and faster editing. Web based editors will take time as lo of clicks required and their own editor while on Fileilla you can use your own editor apps on PC.

FTP is really much better than file manager.
It has more features and through ftp you can transfer files faster as well .

Both the File Manager and FTP basically knob the similar responsibilities. So which one must you practice? Is there an advantage to using one or the other? The answer is that sometimes there are benefits to using FTP or your File Manager, but maximum of the time it’s extra a case of your individual preference. Some people say that FTP is faster, but for me that isn’t essentially the situation. I’ve also read that one or the other is more safe, but I haven’t seen any real indication to support those claims.

The File Manager arises with your web hosting control panel border, so you have admittance from wherever you can attach to your hosting version. To use FTP, you’ll need to download and install a discrete client application. Also in order to use file transfer protocol, you need to have your ftp server, username, and password data to log in earlier using FTP
