HTML and HTML 5

Can anyone tell me what is the difference between HTML and HTML 5?

HTML5 has more command you can take look at w3schools. There you can find tutorial for both HTML and HTML5 once I was advised to use HTML it is more known

HTML 5 supports more tags and responsive design also.
HTML 5 have a placeholders for textbox.

HTML 5 is an updated version of HTML. This means that the t these two are pretty similar but their main difference is that HTML5 contains much better support for media. Both are same, only additional features are added in HTML 5 that contains much better support for media such as, an audio and video tag and also vector graphics.
