Link won't work

by oxidator » Wed Aug 26, 2015 5:38 pm

Hi, I recently started html on a mac. And whenever I load up my webpage on safari and click on the link I get "Safari can't find the file. No file exists in the address "Users/...etc. The link is inside the body and looks like this -- <a href="http://w3schools.com"> this is a link </a>---. Everything else on the webpage works fine. Sorry if this is a stupid question. I've done this on pc and it works fine. Not sure if it's because i'm on a mac or what.

If it´s searching the link on the local filesystem looks like there´s something wrong in the href destination.

Links won't work

by aldaism66 » Wed Nov 04, 2015 4:08 am

I apologize .. mine isnt a response.. But I also have a problem using the following mark up for links on my website. The format provides a very responsive navigation buttons.. But when I click them they return same page all the time. I am still building the site on a desktop therefore it isnt the full hosted environment.

<li STYLE="list-style-type: none"><a href="milk.html"><FORM METHOD="LINK"></a> ACTION="milk.html">
<INPUT style=width:230px;height:auto;border-radius:8px; TYPE="submit" VALUE= "Our Milk"></a></li>
<li STYLE="list-style-type: none"><a href="Sugar.html"><FORM METHOD="LINK" ACTION="Sugar.html">
<INPUT style=width:230px;height:auto;border-radius:8px; TYPE="submit" VALUE="Brown sugar"></a></li>
<li STYLE="list-style-type: none"><a href="White_Cream.html"><FORM METHOD="LINK" ACTION="White_Cream.html">
<INPUT style=width:230px;height:auto;border-radius:8px; TYPE="submit" VALUE="White Cream"></a></li>

Please kindly advice if it is a feasible navigational option.

Thank you.
