html appears as plain text in browser?

by 4ddavis » Tue Jan 18, 2011 8:28 am

Hello,

I have always had some interest in building websites and was extremely excited to find this site. I just attempted the lesson to build your first website and followed the instructions precisely, yet the browser version of my code appears exactly the same as the TextEdit version. What did I do wrong?

Thanks,
Ford

Also, take a look at this link - it has been helpful to other Mac-users:

Thanks a lot, in the text editor I had to specifically change the rich text into plain text, despite having plain text as the desired format in the editor. Anyway it works now.
