I need help with this html page.

by ROHAN » Sun Sep 25, 2016 6:30 pm

So, I have to create an exact page as in the attachment that I've provided. The left pic is the preview of the page I have to create and the right one is my page.
There is something wrong in the text alignment on the last paragraph. Where I've an arrow.
Can you tell me what is the problem. Any tag I'm missing out or something else.
I can't figure it out. Please help.

Here is the text in the notepad:

<html>
<head>
<title>Measuring Wind</title>
<P ALIGN="center"><A HREF="index.html">Home</A> |
<A HREF="temperature.html">Temperature</A> |
<A HREF="pressure.html">Pressure</A> |
<A HREF="wind.html">Wind</A> |
<A HREF="humidity.html">Humidity</A> |
<A HREF="rainfall.html">Rainfall</A> |
<A HREF="contact.html">Contact Us</A></P>
</head>

<body>
<h2 style="color:blue" ><b>Measuring Wind</b></h2>

<p>A wind vane is used to measure the direction of the wind (as shown in the figure bewlow). The wind vane
consists of the following:

<ul><li>Freely-rotating pointer arm which moves with the wind.</li>
<li>Arms bearing the four main directions:</li>
<ol><li> north</li>
<li> south</li>
<li> east</li>
<li> west</li>
The arrow points to the direction from which the wind is blowing. If, for instance, the arrow is pointing
to the north-easterly wind is blowing.</ul></ol></p>

<img src="C:\Users\ROHAN\Desktop\image\wind.png" width="491" height="257" />
</body>
</html>

Hey there, in case u havent solved this yet, the problem is the closing tags for the unordered list and ordered list should be right at the end of the last ordered list (wind). and you have interchanged the ul and ol closers. It should be as ff.

<li> west</li></ol></ul>

hi...
you can code in the following manner

<HTML>
<BODY>

<p>A wind vane is used to measure the direction of the wind (as shown in the figure bewlow). The wind vane
consists of the following:

<ul><li>Freely-rotating pointer arm which moves with the wind.</li>
<li>Arms bearing the four main directions:</li>
<ol><li> north</li>
<li> south</li>
<li> east</li>
<li> west</li>
</ol>
The arrow points to the direction from which the wind is blowing. If, for instance, the arrow is pointing
to the north-easterly wind is blowing.</ul></p
</BODY>
</HTML>

thank you,
