"float" is covering the drop-down menu

can anyone help me to solve out this problem? this is what have been coded

Hi,

Try to put a z-index on the div:

<div style="z-index:1000;width:288px;font-family:arial,sans-serif;font-size:13px;float:left">

That should put it in front. Read more about z-index here: http://html.net/tutorials/css/lesson15.php

Sorry. It was the other way around: You need to put a z-index on your drop-down menu (and remove it from the image). Or maybe you can solve it by setting the z-index on the image to "0":

<div style="z-index:0;width:288px;font-family:arial,sans-serif;font-size:13px;float:left">

Hope it makes sense.
