Meta tags

by pete33 » Wed Jan 25, 2012 4:30 pm

Hello, i really like the look of this site as i'm very interested in learning everything from html to javascript. I would also like to learn about using meta tags in web pages, do the lessons on this site cover meta tags?

Thanks in advance

Currently HTML.net does not talk about META tags in the HTML tutorial, but you can learn about them here: http://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_meta.asp

Although the w3schools website does address meta tags, they don't really talk about it from an SEO perspective. You should check out this link which address the SEO aspect of meta tags :)

W3 tools would be the best to start with, create a mock up website and have a play around with it, best lessons are self taught IMO.

Meta tags are easy to do these days. Most CMS websites come with meta tag and title boxes that allow you to place them in the HTML without having to mess with any code. Are you planning on creating a website from the ground up?

Is there a certain type of HTML I should be using when trying to create an e-commerce store that sells a survival seed bank supply? I want something that will help me to target gardeners that are interested in my product.
