Help with .JSON data to HTML file!

by Kwinky Wolf » Sun Feb 18, 2018 12:11 am

Hi to whomever it may concern,

I've been developing a discord bot using discord.js and commando.js, and was given a helping hand by a mate in my quest to make an XP levelling system. I understood what he did enough to be able to made commands out of it, and with a bit more support make an automatic XP system. But, now, I want to add a leaderboard and link it to a website. I have no clue as to how i'm going to achieve this at all, whatsoever. I don't understand a thing that he has made, but it works. If somebody could talk to me like i'm 5 and explain in detail how I would get the data from the xp.json file and into a .htm file so I can make a leaderboard out of it? I'm a visual learner and very slow due to exhaustion, so like I said... Talk to me like i'm 5, ideally examples or something haha. I'll include the following files below, thank you for reading:

- xp.json (Client ID's and then the amount of XP they have earnt).
- xp.js (the script that my mate made)

xp.json - https://drive.google.com/file/d/1rpmjyD5FxXLizX3dOR-NElIDAMVms1US/view?usp=sharing
