Minifield not working as .txt file

by BMV » Sun Jan 05, 2014 10:04 pm

I recently completed exercise 21 in the JScript tut. One thing I can't figure out is why a reference to the jquert library does not work when I upload the minified file to the server as a text file. (When I upload it as an XML file it works fine).

When I include a reference in my html file to the outside link as in <script type="text/javascript" src="http://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.7.min.js"></script>
it works fine and the page loads correctly. I thought this may have something to do with permissions on the server (I use .biz.nf). If this is so- its strange that it there's no problem when I change the extension of the minifield library to .XML. Does any one have an idea?

You cannot use it as a textfile. It is required to use it as a XML file.

It has nothing to do with the permissions. jquery-1.7.min.js is required when using any javascript in any page.

Jquery is required when using any Jquery script simple you page must have any jquery script in it.
It has nothing to do with permissions as aman said.
