You can check if your local xampp server is active and functional requesting just http://localhost/ .

Check if Windows is not adding a TXT file extension to your PHP file making it unavailable as a PHP document.

Exactly, window is adding that text file. I was wondering what that mean to php file. After saving my file with "test.php" window turn it into test.php.lnk, what could be the solution to correct it, I had just installed window before installing xampp a few weeks ago. Everything is working very well in xampp. But due to that error file extension xampp can't pass a files. More help please.

Windows create .lnk files when you do a simple drag operation with some file types. If you are dragging your PHP file to your server folder, try to do it with CTRL key pressed while you drag.

Are there any way to save php file direct to htdocs folder?
